Newtown historian Edward R. "Ned" Barnsley was a prolific researcher and writer. He had a weekly column in the Newtown Enterprise, called Original Records Reviewed, where he would tell an interesting story of Newtown's Past. Essentially, he blogged history every week.
In all, Barnsley wrote columns in 166 issues. That's a whole lot of research and writing for one man. I'm intimately familiar with his research and it's not in the least bit surprising. The man was a machine.
